Hmm… I wonder which GOP candidate would actually cut spending? Reports CNN Money:
Newt Gingrich’s economic plan would do a lot of things. But reducing the debt and balancing the federal budget aren’t among them.
Same goes for Rick Santorum’s and Mitt Romney’s economic plans.
Indeed, a preliminary analysis by the independent Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget released Thursday estimates that the three candidates’ plans could add between $250 billion and $7 trillion of debt over the next nine years.
By contrast, the proposals of Ron Paul could reduce the debt by $2.2 trillion, the group estimated.
Newt Gingrich’s plan
Debt over next decade: Adds $7 trillion, increasing debt to GDP to 114%…
Rick Santorum’s plan
Debt over next decade: Adds $4.5 trillion, increasing debt to GDP to 104%.
Mitt Romney’s plan
Debt over next decade: Adds $250 billion, increasing debt to GDP to 86%…
Ron Paul’s plan
Debt over next decade: Reduces it by $2.2 trillion, lowering debt to GDP to 76%.

But, these other candidates, Dem or Repub, either…
A.) Do not completely understand fiat currency, the meaning of a true free market, and the need for well-educated humane people capable of critical-thinking.
or
B.) Do understand fiat currency, but choose to remain willfully ignorant in order to cling to their status, at the expense of those who are less-educated and/or of a lower social status.
The Business Man is not the answer this time, sorry. What’s that old saying?…you can’t solve problems by using the same old thought process that created them. Something like that, anyway……
Uh-hum, how is Mitt Romney for the middle class, if he put more middle class families under the poverty line than any other Governor in Massachusetts history?
Mitt, do you want to be President just so you can say you were President?
Ah-hum, you can’t prohibit another human being from consuming what they want, especially if it’s natural. Subverting fellow human beings from their very nature, by way of law(s), will always end in total failure. No man has a “right” to prevent you from consuming what you wish. Prohibition is a farce, an utter failure. Any politician who believes they can successfully prohibit you is operating on an Obsolete Thought Process, and quite simply, has no business being in a leadership or representative role. Those who try to prohibit others are merely projecting their Ego upon others.
With 95% reporting, Ron Paul has over 36% of the vote in Maine right behind first place finisher Mitt Romney, who has barely 39%.
But when all the votes are counted will Romney still be in first place? Only 194 votes stand between Paul and a first place victory. Washington County is a stronghold for Paul and has yet to report. It might be a week before we know the final outcome there and Washington County is expected to yield 200 votes or more.
Still, Maine is a state in Romney’s backyard that he should’ve been able to walk away with easily. That Mitt almost lost to Ron tonight–and that Mitt still may lose to Ron in the days to come–does not bode well for the establishment candidate. Romney shouldn’t have had to campaign in Maine and yet circumstances forced him to make a last ditch effort.
Santorum, riding high on Tuesday, was 20 points behind Paul tonight. Newt Gingrich, who won South Carolina with 41% last month, got only 6% tonight.
This was not a good night for Mitt Romney. It was a fantastic night for Ron Paul.
We’re in NH, and were actually surprised Mitt managed to pull the number he did. We have been cruising the streets in NH, ME and MA and seeing a lot of Ron Paul support!
Rick Santorum, January 2012:
“I’m a conservative. I am a Reagan conservative. I am not a libertarian. And the people who are calling me a big government guy are libertarians.”
Ronald Reagan, July 1975:
“If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is…
And Ronny Reagan was involved in genocide. YAY! Let’s slaughter some folks so we can build some Pepsi plants! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee! Somebody call Oli North!!! America, where liars rule the roost!
